Feisty's Big Birthday Present

Once upon a time, a few days ago, it was snowing outside. It was very, very cold. There were two dogs who lived in a house in the middle of nowhere. The big dog, Kylar, LOVED to go outside and play in the snow. The little dog, Feisty, was always too cold to go outside and play with his big sister. He was very unhappy because he was such a little dog and got cold so easily. He moped around the house, sadly listening to the happy yips and squeals Kylar was making in the back yard.

What Feisty didn't know was that it happened to be his birthday on that cold, snowy day. He was 5 years old, and he longed to be able to go outside and play like a puppy again. He dreamed of burying his nose in the snow and snuffling, just like Kylar always did! But alas, he shivered uncontrollably just thinking about how cold it was outside, and how wet the snow would have felt falling on his back. He was so sad, he curled up in a corner with his paws over his ears, resigned to waiting for his Mommy to get home from work. "At least she'll pet me and give me a cookie," he thought, trying to ignore Kylar's gleeful barks outside. Then he fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of running and skidding across the snowy ground, licking the falling snowflakes, and rolling on his back making snow doggies.

He woke with a start when he heard his Mommy's keys unlocking the door. "Hi, Little Boy, " she cooed, holding out her arms for her littlest baby. He got up slowly and walked over to her, his tail between his legs, but appreciative of the cookie she held out for him. "What's wrong, Sweetie? Did you think I forgot your birthday today? Well, I didn't, lookie what I got for you!!" Feisty's tail wagged halfheartedly as she reached into a bag and started to pull out something. "Well, the day might not be so bad after all," he thought, "I forgot it's my birthday!" He watched as Mommy pulled something blue and red and fuzzy out of the bag. He didn't know what it was, but he wagged his tail anyway. "Look, Feisty, it's a sweater!" cried Mommy, and Feisty kept wagging his tail, but he didn't know what a sweater was. She drew him into her lap and started tugging and pulling at his legs and put something over his head that made everything dark for a moment. Then she put him in the floor and he just sat, trying to figure out what this thing was that she had given him for his birthday. The longer he sat, the hotter he got.

"My goodness, I'm quite warm," thought Feisty. He was lost in thought trying to figure out what this strange gift was for when he thought he heard his Mommy say something about "Kylar" and "outside". He shook his head to clear his thoughts, and that's when it dawned on him......and that's when his Mommy snapped this picture:

Kylar was Jealous

Kylar whined and moaned and moped and groaned until she received this T-shirt. She would not let Feisty have any peace until she had clothing of her very own.

And So Of Course

Miss Kitty was even more jealous than Kylar. She would not be satisfied until she had clothes of her own, as well. So I got her this perfect shirt....it says "Mischief Maker" on the back...

Can't forget Mr. Bunny

Okay, so I was having a little fun with Corel Photo Paint. Doesn't this character look a bit ferocious? I call it a "Dogbit"....
